Adventures in Food: Koreans love their Sauces

At home, I’m a big fan of eating things plain. Here, I don’t know how to say plain, so I have to stick to the basics that I think I’ll like. They are big fans of putting sauces of everything. I can usually figure out mustard, honey mustard, and mayonnaise (not of which I like), but sometimes I have no ideas. I found accidentally that pink sauce is usually strawberry, and is put on things that would never occur to me to add fruity flavor to. I was quite disappointed to find that “California Rolls” have a pink mayonnaise sauce and honey mustard all over them. Boo.
