Elections in Korea

In Korea, campaigning is done a bit differently. Candidate's posters are put up everywhere, with their picture and major views. They ride around on trucks blaring music and propaganda, waving and smiling for the people on the street. Election "stations" are set up to answer questions and take early ballots, and election day itself is actually a holiday. It's a "red day", a national holiday, so that all schools and businesses are closed. That way everyone has an opportunity to vote. Genius.

Election posters along my walk to work.
